Ashampoo Zip 2017 review

Ashampoo Zip 2017 is a product from Ashampoo GMBH and is a free full version of their commercial software. It has a ribbon interface and it comes with only a single theme.

Options:
Shell integration can be turned on/off on the Options page. Individual options can be selected too.

Compression ratio is similar to other softwares such as BandiZip and PeaZip for the .zip format.

Upload to Cloud: A unique feature of the software is it's ability to upload files to the cloud. Several cloud hosting services are supported - DropBox, Google Drive, Microsoft's One Drive are supported.

The setup size is around 30 MB and RAM usage ~ 75 MB. These figures are quite high in comparison to other file compression softwares.

Final Words: Overall there is no significant differentiating factor between Ashampoo Zip 2017 and popular file archivers like 7Zip, PeaZip or BandiZip except the "Upload to Cloud" feature. The feature is not essential as files can be uploaded to Cloud separately too. The software has a large size and uses much more memory than others. I hope in next versions the programmers take care of the memory issue.
