"Purpose Codes" to be used with PayPal Accounts

Bloggers, freelance writers and news aggregators can now withdraw their money from PayPal to their local bank accounts without using IEC Code.

The PayPal services will be resumes from March 3rd.
The PayPal blog has given a complete list of the "Purpose Codes" to be used with different businesses.These "Purpose Codes" are unique for particular business or user and are pre-defined by the RBI."Purpose Codes" are required under Indian Law for cross-border merchant transactions.


Purpose Codes for various businesses / users :

P0801	For hardware consulting
P0802	Software programmers, freelance coders
P0803	For data management & consulting services
P0805	For freelance journalists and bloggers
P0806	For news aggregators
P1007	Marketing / Brand Consulting / Logo Design

According to RBI you ahve to furnish documentary proof ( invoices / goods receipt forms ) as applicable to reconcile with your withdrawal.
