When the SHIFT key gets stuck all your normal text will appear capitalized, text will be selected even if you don't want it and keyboard will function in weird way.
However there is a very simple solution to this problem
Just press the Left SHIFT key 5 times rapidly - make sure you do it quick enough.
Unlike the Sticky keys there won't be any sound.
....and make sure you don't damage your SHIFT key if you are using a laptop
