Box.net - The Online Collaborative Service

Box.net offers a range of services, suited from free to enterprise level users. The free plan offers 1 GB of storage and 25 MB file size limit. The individual paid plan starts at $9.95(as on April 2010).

Box.net is not just a file sharing service; its a collaborative service.

What you can do with Box.net ?
  1. Upload and make your content public. You can share the entire folder if you like.
  2. Box.net recognizes various file types like, PDF, text, Word and even archives (.zip, .7z). You can open, preview or edit these files on the fly using third part services
  3. Box.net provides integrated third party services. You can edit your uploaded documents using iPaper by Scribd or Zoho Online Office Suite.
  4. User can start Project Management online.
  5. Create and edit Web Docs online using Box.net's own editor.
  6. Recently they have started new service which can recognize files like PSD also
Personally I have a free account at Box.net which I use often. Its a great service and especially good for collaborative purposes.

Con: I won't suggest it to people having slow internet connection. Its interface is heavy and sometimes pages just freeze.
